Sergio Bichao has served as managing editor of New Jersey 101.5's digital presence since 2021 and has been with the state's most-listened-to radio station since 2016, when he joined one of the most respected online news teams in the state where he was born and raised. Over the years, the Society of Professional Journalists and the N.J. Press Association have recognized his investigating reporting on the shortcomings in the regulation of licensed professionals as well as in transparency in law enforcement. He was the editor on a series of articles that brought juvenile court cases to the public’s attention, ultimately resulting in the state Supreme Court mandating sensitivity training for all judges. His career has spanned writing obits to editing front pages, always guided by a commitment to justice and a love for everything New Jersey.
